I am a part-time Pastoral Worker and am therefore here to support parishioners and others to live the life God is calling them to and am happy to be of assistance in whatever form it is needed, whether that be simply to listen, to make a visit to a home, to organise practical help, to chew over spiritual matters or to connect people with others who may be able to provide help.

Don’t hesitate to contact me at the parish office on a Tuesday and Thursday or by emailing me.

Our Seminarians

Currently we have three students studying for the priesthood from our parish. Please introduce yourself to these men when they are home for the holidays, and importantly keep them in your prayers that they may in time become good and holy priests.

Linh Cao : Student

Linh Cao

Linh arrived in New Zealand in April 2018. He is studying English at Ara Language School. Once he passes his English proficiency exam he will apply to begin seminary studies for Christchurch Diocese. He lives with the priests of the parish at the presbytery

Tang Phan : Seminarian

Tang Phan

After his fifth year on pastoral placement in Sockburn and Hokitika parishes, Tang returns in 2019 to the seminary in Auckland for year six of his studies.

He lives with the priests of the parish at the presbytery.

Huong Dinh : Seminarian

Huong Dinh

Huong formally began his seminary programme in February 2017. He lives with the priests of the parish at the presbytery.
