Bishop’s Proposed Plan – Our Faith Our Future

Bishop Paul has been sharing his vision for the proposed plan for the diocese in the seven area meeting. These meetings were well attended, by approximately 1200 people.  Thank you to all those that attended these area meetings. There was an opportunity for questions and answers which resulted in good robust feedback. In response to your concerns raised at the meetings the frequently asked questions have been updated on the website. Almost 400 submissions of feedback have been received.  The feedback process is still open and can be submitted online https://ourfaith.chchcatholic.nz/feedback/ or by using a hard copy form available from parishes.

Rochester Lecture: Women and Church: The Future. By Ann Gilroy, editor of Tui Motu InterIslands, the independent Catholic monthly magazine.  Wednesday 21st August 7pm, Rochester and Rutherford Hall, 77 Ilam road. Supper provided afterwards.

CCJP Multimedia & Essay Contest 2019

The Christchurch Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) invites students from Years 7 to 13 who are enrolled at our Catholic Schools to enter the 2019 Essay and Multimedia Contest.  There are incredible cash prizes to be won, both for individuals the participant’s class.  For more information, read the poster on your parish’s noticeboard, or go to the website: www.chch.justicepeace.nz

Stories from World Youth Day Panama 2019

Come and hear the experiences of our three Christchurch Pilgrims who travelled to Panama for this Year’s World Youth Day. Maddy Frew, Jack O’Neil and Fr Alister will share their highlights and challenges of World Youth Day. This is a great opportunity to come and see what World Youth Day is about especially for those thinking about going to World Youth Day 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal. Revolution Camp aims to inspire the young people to revolutionize their life and the world through their relationship with Jesus Christ. FORMING INTENTIONAL DISCIPLES – A day with Sherry Weddell

The Bishop’s Pastoral Office invites you to this one day seminar on Wednesday Sept 18th at Christ the King Parish Centre. Sherry is a world-renowned author and founder of the Catherine of Siena Institute. In light of Bishop Paul’s proposed plan, the seminar will focus on how parishes can form intentional disciples. CARMEL YOUTH MASS
